I’m writing this blog today from the airport.
In 2017 I was sitting in Cardiff airport in Wales making the trip back to Belfast having spent some time back in my home country to re-energise and un-lose myself after some pretty substantial burnout having run gyms for 4 years previously with barely a day off.
I sat in the airport with plenty of time to reflect, staring at the opening of a new chapter in my life.
I love the experience of travel, the nostalgia, freedom and excitement of boarding a plane and ending up somewhere new, somewhere different.
I sat there that day and said to myself this is the PERSON that I want to be.
I didn’t have much behind me that day other than a lot of life experience and had no idea how I would be able to manage that lifestyle but the commitment to make it part of who I was in my identity set the ball rolling.
I felt on a very subtle level that it just felt right and over the next few years my subconscious mind went to work, seeing opportunities in my environment that would direct me to my identity based future life.
For the last year I have fashioned the traveler’s life, my job, my lifestyle and I cultivate it further so that I can increase the frequency of my travelling and enhance my life experience.
The point is this, if you want to change, take it to an identity level.
Become that person in your head and your mind will move you toward it, it’s just what it does.
Visualise the future you.. create a vision board, journal about it and get excited about it, create a nervous excitement within yourself and you will start to make subconscious decisions that orientate you to it.
Happy Saturday
