In the world of sales. Sometimes we come across scenarios that just flummox us ….somebody says something to us. And we just left dumbfounded and flat footed. Because we know that they’re coming from a place that is derogatory to their future and We just can’t help them past it.
In my role as a sales coach. A big part of what I do is help design rebuttals and reframes this concept came from the NLP process of sleight of mouth.
When somebody comes to me with an issue, a scenario. I will quite often have moments of clarity at very early hours of the morning.
Les Brown in a candid interview used to talk about the same phenomenon where he used to say, I love it when the angels come and speak to me but I wish they didn’t do it at three o’clock in the morning. For me I see this as the subconscious mind. wrestling and grappling with a problem that your conscious mind can’t deal with…. and I love this part about my job.
But here’s the thing, I haven’t been really doing much of it lately, because I’ve been so busy putting out fires and exhausted.
So here’s my challenge to you. If you really want to engage that creative part of your brain. Consider really dialling in your lifestyle, getting more sleep get more rest. Get more downtime so it’ll allow your brain to do that creative work that it needs to be to make those breakthroughs.
So I’ve been wrestling with. I need 48 hours to think about it as an objection. So this was my 3am answer that came to me. I hope it helps

I hear you and What do you think could be possible ramifications of putting time and distance between you and a really important decision ?
( could we possibly fall back into patterns of delay maybe ?)
Let me ask if you stayed the same for the next 2 5 10 years would that be a problem for you ?

Are you open to making a small emotional commitment to yourself today then so that the next 10 years aren’t like the last 10?
